ODP Overview

The Wyoming Cutthroats Hockey Program is excited to once again offer our Off-Season Development Program. The program will focus on teaching hockey skills, individual player development, and game specific training. The schedule and registration form offer typical details.  Registrations can be emailed, mailed (address below), or submitted at the first session. We do ask if you plan on registering on site, please let us know you will be registering your player and we can place them in the appropriate group prior to the opening session. Groups will be split by skill level, age, and group sizes to best accommodate your player for them to receive the most out of our program. Goalie specific training will be offered as well. Cost of the program is $400 per player with family discounts for those that have more than one player attending. Payment can be made on site the opening weekend or in advance through Venmo, PayPal, or mailed check.

Please feel free to share this with anyone interested.

In regards to travel teams for the following fall/winter season (2023-2024), there will likely still be a place for this opportunity. Initially Wyoming Cutthroats Travel Hockey was created to fill the void from Team Wyoming when they removed their 12U teams and all secondary teams. Team Wyoming re-instituted their 12U team and secondary teams, which has created less of a need for a program like Wyoming Cutthroats Travel Hockey. However, the Wyoming Cutthroats can still provide an alternative to Team Wyoming for families perhaps not wanting to commit to as much travel or expense. So, Wyoming Cutthroats will certainly consider hosting any age level with enough player/parent/coach interest. The Wyoming Cutthroat's Off-Season Development Program is not directly associated with the Travel Team program; therefore, players who attend the summer program will not get preferential consideration, nor will players who do not attend receive a lesser consideration. That said, attending our summer program, another summer program, camps, etc. does increase player skills and abilities.

The Wyoming Cutthroats adhere to USA Hockey's view of players taking some time away from hockey, playing other sports, and most importantly staying active and growing as an individual both on and off the ice. We encourage players to continue to improve their hockey skills by attending camps or summer programs, as well as participating in other sports, volunteering in their community, focusing on education and extra-circular activities and so on. We wish every player the best in their endeavors over the off-season, whether that be the Wyoming Cutthroats ODP or something else.

All ODP sessions will take place at the Casper Ice Arena, 1801 E 4th St, Casper, WY.

We look forward to providing a great growth opportunity to Wyoming hockey families. Thank you for considering us as part of your summer hockey program!
