WELCOME TO WYOMING CUTTHROAT HOCKEY
We’ve Got Team Spirit
The Cutthroats are a state-wide coed 12UA, 14UA, 16UA & 18UA travel team open to Wyoming players, whether they are participating on a WAHL league team or not. The expected registration cost per player for the 2019-2020 season for Wyoming Cutthroats hockey is approximately $550. Cutthroats aim to play a majority of tournaments in Denver, Salt Lake, and more regional settings as well as avoid competing with WAHL weekends for tournament dates.
Our intention is to work with WAHL and Team Wyoming to create a fun, enjoyable, yet competitive hockey environment to enhance the youth hockey experience in Wyoming.
A Spring/Summer weekend Off-Season Development Program (ODP) is run from April through August in Casper. See our "ODP 2019" page for details.
Travel team formations are independent of the ODP and for 2019-2020 are planned for August 17 & 18 at the Casper Ice Arena. See the "Tryout Information" page for details. For 2019-2020 the Cutthroats plan to field travel teams at the 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U levels. The 18U and 16Us are a select squad team and the 14U and 12Us are determined through tryout. The registration cost for the program is approximately $550 plus jersey/sock purchase for new players. The teams plan to participate in four tournaments over the hockey season. Teams have 4 practices on weekends from September to late-October.
MEET THE CUTTHROATS
"IS HOCKEY HARD? I DON'T KNOW, YOU TELL ME. WE NEED TO HAVE THE STRENGTH AND POWER OF A FOOTBALL PLAYER, THE STAMINA OF A MARATHON RUNNER, AND THE CONCENTRATION OF A BRAIN SURGEON. BUT WE NEED TO PUT ALL THIS TOGETHER WHILE MOVING AT HIGH SPEEDS ON A COLD AND SLIPPERY SURFACE WHILE 5 OTHER GUYS USE CLUBS TO TRY AND KILL US. OH YEAH, DID I MENTION THAT THIS WHOLE TIME WE'RE STANDING ON BLADES 1/8 OF AN INCH THICK? IS ICE HOCKEY HARD? I DON'T KNOW, YOU TELL ME. NEXT QUESTION."
